Jeanne is 15 years old and right in the middle of puberty - but unable to live the normal life of a teenage girl: Jeann lives in hiding with her parents Clara and Hans, former terrorists. Time and time again the family is forced to move, permanent friendships are too dangerous, and permanent cautiousness prevent any form of civil every-day life.
One day Jeanne falls in love with the young surfer Heinrich and she becomes less willing to give up this small piece of normality for her parents. Meanwhile, Hans and Clara are planning a bank robbery in order to finance their coming travels, unaware of the fact that the police is already catching up with them.
