In the final round of applications for a kindergarten placement for her son Emil, Pia has to prevail against Gerd and Michael and pretend that she still is in a relationship with her ex-boyfriend Nepomuk. He shows up way too late, but unexpectedly manages for the experienced teacher Helga to like him. Gerd and Michael see chances fading away and are getting more and more determined to win the competition for a kindergarten placement. In the end, the inner children win, and in this particular case it does indicate no good.
