When the dreamy film projectionist Francis accidentally rams the limousine of gangster boss Mascarpone with his car, he suddenly finds himself trapped in a real gangster film. His dog Farfalle becomes a hostage and Francis becomes an accomplice to bank robbery. When the coup bursts, Francis not only has to save his dog, but also has conquer the heart of the film diva Vivien.
