This year we are dealing with two scripts that couldn't be more different:
On the one hand there is Hans Weingartner's dialogue film and road movie "303" (co-author Silke Eggert). He tells the story of Jan and Jule. Their joint journey through France and Spain to Portugal is peppered with clever and emotional dialogues. The two protagonists slowly fall in love with each other on this journey, engaging in arguments, theories and theses about suicide, love, altruism and selfishness.
On the other hand, "STYX", which leaves a lot of room for emotions due to its extreme text reduction. Wolfgang Fischer's "STYX" (co-writer Ika Künzel) tells a visually stunning story of a modern, strong woman who is suddenly torn from her intact world on a sailing trip. She's confronted with an overloaded, wrecking fishing boat. Many people are at risk of drowning. It takes a lot of time before a possible solution can be found...
In an interview with Wolfgang Fischer and Silke Eggert, host Brigitte Drodtloff, VDD board member, will present screenplay and film scenes from both films. The Five Lakes Film Festival shows both films in full length:
