Nine-year-old Jo loves action films and dreams of being a superhero herself. Her greatest wish: to shoot a film in which she plays the leading role. In her imagination she forgets that she is incurably ill. At a certain point, Jos' sister can no longer see the cheerful girl spending all the precious time he has left in bed. She encourages Jo to believe in her magical powers and animates the whole village to make Jos dream come true.
The touching drama by Kenyan filmmaker Likarion Wainainaina was created in collaboration with Tom Tykwer and his wife Marie Steinmann.
